Todays Workout 9/5/2008

What a day full of some good workouts and a milestone when it came to the treadmill. I love it when I overcome a hurdle and hopefully I can continuing doing that as each workout is bound to get more intense.

So your probably wondering what happened on the treadmill? Well for the first time on the treadmill I actually jogged/ran for a full 35 minutes. The most I ever did before was 10 minutes. You’ll see below the speeds that I ran at.

Treadmill: 40 minutes, 5 minute warm up @ 3.7-4.0. Then Ran/Jogged for 35 minutes @ 4.8-5.2, Total distance of 3.15 miles, HR @ 144-152

Stationary Bike: 21:15 minutes, 6.02 miles, Manual setting of Level 13-15,  85-95 RPM’s. Heart-rate of 144-149

From there I did my weight training with Brad and went just as well as always. Probably did better than others. For some reason I sure had a super boost of energy today. Maybe it’s because I am on vacation and feel no stress from work. Either way, God to love it!

I did 4 sets each with 15-20 reps.

Leg Press: 1 set @ 270 lbs, I set @ 360 lbs, 2 sets @ 450 lbs

Stairs/Laps: 4 times Each

Leg Extension: 110 lbs.

Bench Press: 95 lbs.

45 degree Press: 2 sets @ 90 lbs & 2 sets @ 180 lbs.

DB Curl: 1 set @ 20 lbs, 1 set @ 25 lbs, 2 sets @ 30 lbs.

Gravatron Pull-Up & Dips: 4 sets Each with 205 lbs.

Ab Crunches: Added weight of 40 lbs.

Then as an added bonus after my morning workouts I chilled out at the pool were I lived. There I swam some laps and soaked in the Hot tub for a bit to relax my sore muscles. Boy that all felt good and yet it was a bit odd to relax for so long. I sure cherished the feeling. For tomorrow it’s another day and my trek up to Lone Mountain with Brad and other from his Boot Camp program.

This trek will be another first since I haven’t climbed a mountain like that, even if it’s a a small one it’s another goal accomplished and another thing for me to be proud of. Hope to add some pictures of the hike in tomorrows post. I am so excited about getting out and being active again.

If I can do all this… You can too…
