I was back at it in the gym today. I was running a little late, for once. I usually get to the gym by 4 AM so I can get my cardio in before I start my weight training with my trainer. But I slept in a bit today and didn’t get to the gym until almost 6 AM. Just in time for my weight training session and Oh I forgot, my monthly evaluation as well. I’ll post those results later today. They were pretty good and I do continue to make progress. All which is a good thing for me. So the training was a bit easy today since it takes about 30 minutes to complete the evaluation. We did get a chance to do some weight, mainly with the legs, which are my favorites.
So after the evaluation I did the following:
Wall Squats: 4 sets @ 1 minute per set
Jumping Jacks: 4 sets @ 25/set
Stairs/Run laps: 4 times
Leg Extension: 4 sets @ 130 lbs./set
Leg Press: 4 sets @ 360 lbs
Push Ups: 50
Then once I finished that routine it was time to get my cardio done. It seems like it’s been awhile since I have done it. As a matter of fact it has been almost 4 days since I was motivated to get a session in. I went pretty well so i guess taking a break from it does have it’s benefits.
I did manage to get 1 1/2 hours of cardio in and that consisted of:
Elliptical Trainer: 30 minutes, Level 38, HR @ 154, 1.25 miles, 650 calories burned
Treadmill: 30 minutes, Average Speed 3.7 mph & 5-15% Incline, HR @ 154, 1.82 miles
Stationary Bike: 30 minutes, Level 14-15, HR @ 148, 8.53 miles, 415 calories burned
Boy am I tired now though and bit hungry too. So time for me to get some lunch, a bland one yet nutritious. For those wondering what I’ll have it will be:
8 oz. Grilled Chicken, mixed with, Broccoli and Green beans.
Once I get done I’ll be back to post my weight and measurements from this months evaluation.
Sat healthy…Stay Fit….

Hey Rob! Can you tell us more about the competition? Maybe you have an old post about it from before I found your blog, I’m not sure. But I’m curious about the details and what you get for winning…
