This weeks weigh in results 7/13/2009

scale1Today is or should I say is weigh in day and I’ll get to the point since I have to be to work shortly.

This week I lost 1½ pounds.

While I should be happy and grateful with those results, I am not. It was again another disappointing week for me. I really did feel like I worked my arse off and because of that I felt that there should have been a greater weight loss.

I really don’t know what else to say. I guess I’ll just have to somehow try harder this week.

  • Well Rob,
You should be proud, I know that we are. Logically, it would seem that you couldn’t have those kinds of workouts with that kind of endurance if you weren’t building a lot of muscle mass (weight). You Will, get to the point where your muscles are hungrier because their bigger and there’s more to feed and your weight will drop. Right now, your body is just proportioning itself. You’re doing fine, don’t be worse critic.

    • Thanks James :-) I am also blessed to have you as a friend as well that will keep me inline with my thinking and of course your continued support and encouragement is so greatly appreciated. It takes friends like you here in Vegas that really help me stay on this journey to better health. Thanks for you comments, support and words. :-) Have a peaceful and relaxing evening. Catch ya on Tuesday.

  • Hey rob, I agree with the message left by south beach steve. Additionally, please scan and email me the last week of food logs asap. I would like to look over them and give you feedback. Please confirm this.

    • Thanks Bro. Sometimes it just takes others insights and experiences to make me realize new things about myself and this journey. A lot of what Steve and you said are things that I never consider to be a factor in why I didn’t lose as much. Man, like I’ve said before, Your awesome and I truly hope that others the read this can see that as well and if they are in the area and need a trainer that will help them get “Real Results” that they should turn to you.

  • Rob, I know it doesn’t help much to have me on the sidelines saying you should be happy, but you should. I suspect you are really building your muscle and as a result, your lean body mass. There is no feasible way you could not be doing this. Remember, the scale is a cruel master. If we let it control us, it will play with us every chance it gets. It wants us to come back, so it will occasionally show us what we want, but most of the time it gives us the results of water-weight, body waste, muscle, or a myriad of other things. You are doing the right things, guaranteed. Just keep at it. Besides, every 1.5 pounds lost is that much closer to your goal.

    • @Steve you really do help out more than you know. I always look forward to your input and views on things and as you can see from my trainers comments he agrees with you as well. So you seem to be high on his good list :-) Sometimes it just take me hearing and learning from others to realize that my thinking or train of thought needs a bit of tweaking as well. I just though it was to soon for me to really be gaining any muscle weight cause I don’t feel or see it. The reality of it though is that I have and that’s good.
I continue to get inspired from your words and actions. I know your’re not perfect either as I sure am not and many of us are not either. It’s the positive attitude that ypou have and the great insights you relay to others and myself that really helps and keeps me going and learning.

  • I think it’s great! Well done! Don’t have unrealistic expectations…

    • That’s something I have to learn Hanlie. I am always so hard on myself and I have to just take it for what it is a move forward and just except that all days aren’t going to be perfect.
