Eating Clean Today 7/15

Today I have to say was a perfect day of eating clean. I didn’t have a single processed food. Nil, Nada, No way and No how J  it’s something I am truly happy about. The meal plan still might seem a little generic for most of you but it’s something that works for me. I am sure it’s the right thing to do and the dedication I put into this and of course the preparation as well will surely benefit me health wise; which is most important.

So today I had:

Breakfast:

  • Egg Whites with grilled onions and green peppers
  • ½Cup Oatmeal with cinnamon

Snack:

  • Small Chicken Breast
  • Orange Slices

Lunch:

  • Grilled Chicken
  • Raw Cabbage, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Cucumber and Green pepper salad with some   fresh dill & some freshly squeezed lemon.
  • ¼ Brown Rice (The kind that takes 45 minutes to cook)  :-)

Snack:

  • Homemade Turkey Burger
  • Lightly Steamed Broccoli

Supper:

  • Grilled Salmon with Fresh Salsa
  • Lightly steamed Broccoli, and Asparagus with 1T Udo Oil

So like I said I am quite happy with this and hopefully will continue to eat like this. It will be a bit harder at work, but I’m going to try my best at it and make it work.

Happy eating everyone!

  • Awesome day’s eating! You should feel great!

    • I am feeling pretty good. :-) Thanks I am still nervous about weigh in on Monday. Probably always wll be. I just have to always remember , like my Paul says, it’s just a tool..that’s it. :-)

  • Looks like it was a great food day! Eating whole, healthy foods is the answer, I think. I know it seems to be working for me!

    • It’s just recently that it’s start bothering me and I think it has to do with the high incline on the treadmill because that is truly the only time it bothers me. I do have arthritis in my left knee as well so I am working on that as well. So far no major issues with either. maybe one of these days we can to a triathlon relay race down at lake Las Vegas. It could be fun :-) Glad to hear that you hit the gym :-)

  • Awesome looking eats for the day. I am trying to eat this way most of the time too. It sure is hard while traveling, but I can do better than I am doing. Great job!

    • You are doing it, except for the wings thing :-) It took a lot to find that information and it still surprises me that there website don’t list the nutritional information. Maybe they’re afraid it will scare people away from earting them. To be honest they don’t seem to be the healthiest, but I bet they taste the best though. Sometimes we have to make these difficult choices though and hopefully you can find an even healthier place and just as tasty as well.

  • The meals look great today rob…good job!

    • Thanks, Good to hear. It was pretty filling and I find the lemon and the oil add a really good flavor to it all. On Thursday it might be a bit harder for me to have the best meals. Since I have to be to bed by 2PM, I’ll probably miss 2 meals. When I poost my meals for today (Thursday) I’ll post the times as well and you’ll see my little dilemma.

  • Hey hey hey! Time to put the can opener in the trash bin. I have trouble conceiving canned, processed and ‘fast’ food as part of anyone’s eating…cuz none of that crap is food! It looks like you’ve had a yummy yummy day.

Now that you have some truly great trainers, its time for you — YOU — to own the changes in your life. They (those wonderful trainers who you should recommend to everyone) are absolutely a fabulous tool; you are absolutely the brain and determination behind the change!

Yay Rob! — said with pom poms :)

    • To be honest i don’t even think I own a can opener. :-) Oh I own the changes but I do have to give a lot of credit to them for giving me the knowledge and experience to learn what really is best in order to achieve great health. I think we all work well like a good oiled machine. I am also doing my best to spread the word about them so others can beefit from there awesome knowledge and dedication in helping others achieve optimum health.
Thanks for the cheer. :-) I am cheering right along with ya.
